Have a 2010 Ford F150 and when pulling a camper it down

Customer Question

Have a 2010 Ford F150 and when pulling a camper it down shifts when cruise is on. Happens most of the time in cruise. Ford dealer can't find anything wrong with the transmisson. Have had it to several mechanics and they can't find anything either.

Hi there.

The reason why neither the dealer nor the other mechanics can find anything wrong with the transmission is because there is nothing wrong with it. According to the Owner's Manual, speed control should be turned off during towing. Click here for manual, then go to pages 267 and 292-296 for more information on towing with your F150.

Best Regards.
