Infiniti qx56: I have a 2011 Infiniti qx56, when I am driving

Customer Question

I have a 2011 Infiniti qx56, when I am driving and get to around 35-40 mph and it sounds like the gear is shifting, there is a shaking. This doesn't happen when I gun it and go fast right away? Is this the transmission?

how many miles? has the fluid been checked?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
101,000, I have it at the dealership now and I hope they would check that

sounds like a torq converter shudder have you duplicated it for the shop? is it under warranty?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I would say it isn't under warranty. What does duplicated it for the shop mean? Sorry I am clueless to the whole thing. I just paid $6k for a new catalytic converter and I really don't want to pay for a new transmission so I am hoping it is an easy solution.

did you take a technician or service manager for a ride to show them what its doing?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No I didn't should I have. When I talked to the dealership they noticed what I was talking about
Expert:  xsvectOR replied 10 months ago.
its a good idea...but all your symptoms point to a transmission issue
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
How much do those usually cost to replace
Expert:  xsvectOR replied 10 months ago.
2 or*****
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
All wheel

And if I didn't replace it, would it only get worse?
Expert:  xsvectOR replied 10 months ago.
it will likely get worse..i would start with flushing the fluid... a factory new transmission is $8100 plus labor... if a fluid change does not help I would drive it until it gets more frequent
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Ok yikes sounds expensive. I'll have them change the fluids and hope that does the trick

best of luck hope you can rate my service 5 star
