Hi there,

3rd gear is a default for some failure within the transmission (limp home mode).

There will be a DTC set in the TCM, and it needs to be looked as soon as possible.

If there is no leak evident, then the fluid "level" won't be the cause.

Do you have a warranty from where you bought the car?
