Hello I'd be happy to help! The overdrive light blinking could mean multiple things, have you had it scanned for codes? Transmissions going bad are not uncommon on these escapes, but not always the oroblem. They've had some issues with the turbine shaft speed sensor wiring as well as torque converter issues but the only way to begin accurately is to see what the computer sees.
