Real quick question on a 5 speed standard 95 ford escort lx

Customer Question

Hey, real quick question on a 5 speed standard 95 ford escort lx 1.9l - I have some kind of sensor on the underside of the transmission with two damaged/severed leads coming off of it. I've done some looking on forums, however come up with nothing. Any ideas? I would like to just solder it back to happyness, but there isn't much wire left up on the sensor

Does it look like this? (see picture)

It looks similar in the way it mounts to the trans, but the dang diddlywhap that I'm looking at is directly on the bottom of the transmission right near the shift linkage. You're picture looked like the front of the trans. I'm guessing a clutch sensor or rev sensor or something on the one you sent me. after work I'll try to snap a picture for ya.
