1998 Dodge Ram won't shift out of 1ST when cold. When it warms up and I hold it @ a higher rpm it will shift into 2nd. After that it will shift fine for the rest of the time I am out driving.

Hi, your front band comes on in 2nd gear and it could be out of adjustment. You need to drop the pan to do it properly. Would you like the procedure to adjust it?

You can just loosen the lock nut and tighten the band screw a turn or so without dropping the pan to see if that takes care of it if you want to try that first.
