Customer Question

Which of the two (three?) 4wd actuators should be cleaned and lubricated?

Hello,
Here is a diagram showing the 2 actuators. The one on the front axle is the one that usually acts up, but the one on the transfer case does sometimes as well. It's mainly the connectors that get road grime on them so just remove the connections first and clean with a spray can of electrical contact cleaner that you can buy at any parts store and see how it works before taking the actuators out. And if it comes down to taking one out, start with the front one but really concentrate on the connections first.
