How do I remove the bolts on a 1999 Chevy S-10 Transmission that are facing the engine. I can see and remove the two bolts holding the transmission on the back side.
Optional Information: Year : 1999 Make : Chevrolet Model : S-10 Engine : 2.2 L Already Tried: I am ready to remove the transmission from the engine. I can see the two back bolts that are holding the transmission, but I am unable to get to the bolts on the engine side of the transmission. How do I remove these bolts?
Hello, Standard or Automatic Transmission?.....Thanks Joey
Sorry about that, it is a standard transmission on a 2.2 liter engine, 4 cyl.
Hi, Hope you have the transmission lowered down there are 4 more bolts on the back side......not just on the bottom
I haven't lowered the transmission yet because you did not tell me how to take those four bolts out. I need to know how in the heck to I get to those bolts to take them out. There is no space between the fire wall and the front side of the transmission to take them out.
hi, looking lets just say from the cross member, there are 6 bolts from the transmission to the engine, it has to be removed to gain access to the upper bolts, as this will lower the transmission down......then just use at least a 2 foot extention with a swivel socket
