Customer Question

Hi, I recently hit a fire hydrant with my truck. There was no damage at all to the fire hydrant, but there was to my truck. I drove home, as I only damaged my own vehicle. Today is a holiday so I could not contact my insurance agent, which was what I assumed the next step to be, but now I am reading other answers and it seems I have fled the scene of an accident? Also, since I did not report it right away, is that failure to report? Or do I have some time to be able to do that?
JA: What state is this in? And how old is the truck?
Customer: Illinois, 2007
JA: Do you need to appear in court?
Customer: I haven't had any contact with the authorities about it at all I was just going to contact my insurance agent tomorrow.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not that I can think of
