I received a failure to control speed to avoid a collision

Customer Question

I received a failure to control speed to avoid a collision on a highway subpoena. The accident involved 5 cars total. I was the last to get hit in the train of cars. Meaning, I was the line leader. I did not hit anyone in front of me. The collision started with a ram truck all the way in the back which hit a jeep which hit a honda which hit honda #2 which hit me.
JA: What state is this in? And how old is the truck?
Customer: Maryland, 2015. It was a rental from enterprise
JA: Do you need to appear in court?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Uhm I think that is pretty much it, i'm just worried about why I have to appear in court. It makes it seem like I started the wreck.

Just to be clear, did you receive any citation or ticket? Also, what does the subpoena state or say?
