we bought a car from a dealer in virginia,we didnt have ttl,however they sent the paperwork to navy federal and made it look as though we gave them ttl,they held a check for us until 2 july 2012 ,is it legal and can we still back out of the deal,they did none of the repairs they promised,the car is as is but they have taken our car to the dealer for us after we purchased it but wouldnt pay because it was to much to fix.They continue to try to get us to pay to have their mechanic do the work

I certainly understand your situation. Do you have something in writing from the dealer regarding their promise to make the repairs? Can you also clarify the issue with them holding a check? If you bought the car, why was title not placed in your name?
