Toyota Repair Problems? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you today. First of we will get the p0300 code understood. this is just letting you know that the vehicle is misfiring due to spark plugs or coils, etc. The other two codes are you issue.
The other two codes are letting you know the hybrid system is having issues communicating with the vehicle. The could be caused by bad connection of power, ground, or even a faulty sensor.
Have you changed the spark plugs or coils lately?
Hello. How are you?
The best advice that I can give you on this is to take the vehicle to a technician who has experience with Prius/Hybrid vehicles. If you are not experienced with working on hybrids(especially the electrical), not only can you damage the vehicle, but you can be hurt very seriously.
The connection to the ECU will have to be checked and the CAN system will have to be serviced.
Are you there?
My name is ***** ***** I'm a Master/Hybrid Toyota Technician,
Please inform me of all the codes currently present, please and thank you
Did you speak with anybody?
Then you haven't paid for the phone call.
Phone call is considered a premium service
No I don't. It's rare for the ECM to go bad
that's normal. when there's a misfire
unfortunately it's not that easy. There's a lot of things to consider. Although you can read the codes but the hybrid system has a 7 code system
there's possible a bulletin for your car
I'm researching but I would like to know what are you looking for?
Are you going to attempt to fix it yourself? Do you just want the possible thing that can be wrong with the vehicle?
sir. Understand that this isn't a straight up answer.
There s multiple reasons for the misfire.
Nobody will be able to tell you what the problem is. We can only tell you the most common issues
Spark plug, Coils, Injector Purge,
Throttle body service
remove the throttle body and see if there's dirty water inside the intake manifold
Coil are black/gray and go on top of the spark plugs
I was wondering if you were able to get any more information or diagnostic codes from any other modules?
ok do you still have the U0129 code as well? Have you replaced the spark plugs that mentioned did not look too good?
ok, let me know how it goes afterwards.
