2004 4Runner. Front Windshield wiper will not park. The

Customer Question

2004 4Runner. Front Windshield wiper will not park.
JA: Have you checked the fuses? Do you know if there is power to the wiper motor?
Customer: The wiper works correctly. It simply will not park.
JA: Are you fixing your 4Runner yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm trying to diagnose the problem myself and will make the repair myself. There is t nothing to try other than to learn how the motor parks itself. I thought you could tell me how this happens. From there I can start testing.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. I thought you were a mechanic.

Hello, thanks for posting

The park function is usually part of the motor assembly, I'm going to look at the repair manual and see if I can upload a testing procedure for you, it may take about 15 -20 minutes.
