Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There isn't an actual description of the problem other than something happens when going up a hill, but I'm assuming it lacks power under a load. There are many possible causes for a lack of power ranging from lack of fuel pressure, a restricted catalytic converter, and hybrid system issues. Without the proper equipment, training and safety equipment I cannot recommend attempting diagnosis or repair of any high voltage systems.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is to use a scan tool to check all modules for fault codes. Has this been done?
