Toyota Repair Problems? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi! Welcome to JustAnswer. Thanks for coming! I'm Ron Z and I'll be helping you with your question today.
Is there a Check Engine Light on?
Was the an inspection a plug-in test (where the plug the machine into the vehicle for the test) or a tail-pipe test (where they drive the vehicle with a tester in the tailpipe)?
Ok. On the paperwork that you were given, are there any "p-codes"? Or did you get a reading of the HC, CO and NOx outputs?
One more question- is this a fail for something similar to "System Readiness Monitors Not Set to Ready/Incomplete" ?
Yes. The paperwork they gave you should have all the necessary info on it. Either a p-code or the exhaust output readings.
Yes. Many OBD-II readers will read readiness monitors.
Yes. That'd be great! The more info I have, the better I can assist. Check those readiness monitors and look into that paperwork. Reply back to this thread and we can pick it right back up from here.
