I need the heater core replacement instructions for a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4.0 v6 2wheel drive

It is a 6.4 hour job

1- instrument panel /dashboard has to be removed

2- steering coulmn

3- wiper motor

4- HVAC housing assembly(heater core is inside that housing assembly)

5- Coolant drained & ac Freon evacuate

REMOVAL 1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (a)for 1GR-FE: Drain engine coolant ( See: Coolant > Removal and Replacement > Replacement). (b)for 2UZ-FE: Drain engine coolant ( See: Coolant > Removal and Replacement > Replacement). (c)for 3UR-FE: Drain engine coolant ( See: Coolant > Removal and Replacement > Replacement). 2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM ( See: Heating and Air Conditioning > Removal and Replacement > Replacement) 3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTICE: - After the ignition switch is turned LOCK, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch LOCK, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. - Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected ( See: Vehicle > Programming and Relearning > Repair Instruction - Initialization).

4. REMOVE NO. 2 COOLER COVER
(a)Remove the 2 nuts.
(b)Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
5. REMOVE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a)Remove the bolt.
(b)Detach the plate as shown in the illustration.

(c)Disconnect the suction tube and liquid tube.

- Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool to disconnect the tube.
- Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

(d)Remove the 2 O-rings from the suction tube and liquid tube.
6. DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE AND OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE

(a)Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip.
(b)Disconnect the 2 heater water hoses.
7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET
(a)Remove the front wiper motor and bracket ( See: Wiper Motor > Removal and Replacement > Removal).
8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
(a)Remove the steering column ( See: Steering Column > Removal and Replacement > Removal).
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a)for Column Shift Type:
Remove the instrument panel ( See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel > Removal and Replacement > Removal).
(b)for Floor Shift Type:
Remove the instrument panel ( See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel > Removal and Replacement > Removal).
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY
(a)Disconnect the clamps, connectors and wire harness.
(b)Remove the 8 bolts, 2 screws and 4 nuts.

(c)Remove the instrument panel reinforcement.
(1)Driver side:
Remove the 3 bolts and 3 caps.
(2)Passenger side:
Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts.

HINT: When removing the bolts, the collars may come off with the bolts.

(3)Passenger side:
Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 collars.

11. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT
(a)Remove the nut and air conditioning unit.

it is not an easy job , it time consuming i suggest you take pictures of everything you take off for reference when it come back to installation.

Well chad. I'm in the middle of the project and have divised a method and tool to simplify all the BS procedure that they have outlined I will let you know how it works out
