Hi! Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm Ron Z and I'll be helping you with your question today.

Are you referring to the large axle nut in the center of the front brake rotor?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
the one that connects the rotor to the spoul
Expert:  Ron Z. replied 8 months ago.

Ok. That center nut is not holding the rotor on. That nut is for axle replacement only. It does not need to be removed to remove the rotor. Once the brake caliper bracket has been removed, the rotor is a "pop-off" type rotor. If you are having trouble removing the rotor, tap the rotor from behind with a heavy rubber mallet. Turn the rotor 1/4 turn and tap again from behind. Repeat until the rotor pops itself off. Please remember to leave a rating using the 'stars' or click 'Accept'. A 5-star rating is much appreciated!
