Changed head gasket on my 1994 toyota landcruiser, notice that crank lost tdc tried to adjust before installing cams ,but the crank seems to be locked. What could cuase this?

ok,,turn the cam a little..will the crank turn after you turn the cam?

The cams are not installed yet; need tdc to properly install the cams

Hello, did the timing chain fall down while the gear was removed? It's possible the chain got jammed up on the bottom, try pulling on the chain while trying to rotate the engine

I tried, the chain is not abstructed

I rotated the crank counterclockwise 360 degrees, and notice a kink in the chain; gonna try 360 clockwise to varify that the abstrution is clear--turning now
