Thanks for posting

Before this happened was there an attempt to jump start the engine? Did this just happen overnight, were you driving while the car went dead?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I replaced my Transmission Shifter Cable and it started and went thru the gears just fine but when I put everything back together again it won't start. It is totally dead I don't have any lights it wont turn over NOTHING. I even tried to hot shot it and i don't even get any lights when I hook my Truck up to hot shot it. I don't know what happened ?

Ok, almost all electricity for the car goes to the 120A fuse in the fuse box, the battery is directly connected to it, can you tell if this fuse is blown? do you have a volt meter available?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
I have a volt meter. Is the fuse inside the car or on the firewall ?
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 3 months ago.

It's in the fuse box under the hood near the battery, it's a large fuse with a clear cover on it, remove the cover and check the voltage at the filament.

Can I call tomorrow it almost totally dark outside ?
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 3 months ago.

Yes you can get back to me tomorrow, just check that fuse and see if there is voltage to it from the battery
