The heater doesn't work. When it is placed on heat it just continues to blow cold air. it is a 2009 toyota 4runner
JA: Have you checked the coolant level? Have you checked for a leak in the radiator?
Customer: coolant level is fine and the engine is not overheating
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: trying to fix it myself. It seems as if the heater door isn't opening
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: it just seems as if no air is diverted to the heater core

it is most likely a faulty air door servo motor stuck in the " cold " position . see the illustration . see item - air mix damper control servo . Lower left in the illustration . Do your heater hoses at the firewall both feel HOT and the same temperature ?
