Customer Question

I had and alternator problem. I send the alternator to a shop to be rebuild. When it came back after a few minute of driving the steering became very hard to turn. When I check the voltage on the alternator it was 15.00 volt. I conclude that the alternator was crippping and I bought an another alternator.I put it on the tundra 2011 start engine and now voltage is 13.8 but my steering is very hard impossible to turn.
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: standby.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I hoping to fixed my self. With ac on battery voltage was still 13.5
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: It look like I have a short somewhere when you first connect the battery with everything off there is a small spark when you touch the battery

Hi,

The key here is that your steering is hard to turn.

If I could get engine data from you so I can look at the specifics please?

Do we have a 4.0L or 4.6L or 5.7L and it is a 2011 Tundra confirm.
