Customer Question

Continuing the stream re: 2002 Prius AC (blinking light, not blowing cold), I did as "Skyvisions" recommended (4 years ago to different person/same problem) and switched out the relay... no luck, AC clutch sounds like it wants to engage but doesn't... light still blinking, blowing warm air.
JA: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?
Customer: AC clutch, not drive train clutch
JA: Are you fixing your Prius yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: As previously noted, prior stream on this topic (yes, fixing myself), I replaced the relay switch for the AC to see it that was the problem. It's not, so what do I check next?
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Think that's it

With the engine off can you physically reach down and turn the input shaft or the outer portion of the clutch assembly that attaches to the compressor? Will it turn freely?
