Customer Question

I have a 2007 Toyota Prius, and lately it's doing a quick beep sound but I don't see any indicator lights lit on the dashboard, my husband says he saw a light that says problem?? Not sure I haven't seen it
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: Nope, the dashboard is lit no problem, it's just that constant beep
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I haven't tried anything was going you could give me some guidance
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Nope we just changed the hybrid battery because it was dead

Hello and welcome to just answer and allowing me to assist you. If your husband noticed a orange light flash on and go off most likely it has a stored trouble code in the ECU. if the light doesn't stay on then it's probably a pending r history code that has to be pulled up by a scanner tool preferably a shop scanner they give more detail to exactly what it may be. until you have it scanned it's any ones guess what caused it because there are so many electronic devises on these cars. Hoe this gives you some direction where to go with this situation, If you need further assistance I will be happy do so.
