Hi Rene , sounds like an aspiration issue to me , like restricted inlet/air filter/throttle or restricted/blocked exhaust/blocked muffler . You dont mention how many kms on it but old diesel mufflers can end up way blocked in time (they dont tend to rust out,just block up with sooty diesel)see if this is any help ,let me know,cheers stew

Hi Rene , sorry i need to be more specific , by that i mean ( if it was in my shop & i would do.....) dismantle the entire intake system from air filter to inlet manifold , looking for restriction , debris , even an air leak (air leak is air entering manifold not via intake like cracked manifold poor gasket ) likewise the muffler take it off , look through it , poke something through it , just 'looking' aint gonna fix nuthin . What i know is wrong is the problem is outside of the motor , it did the low power smoke thing with old motor as with new so look at components outside of the motor i.e. intake system , exhaust system , or please take it to someone who can , i cant see it myself , i cant teach anyone via remote control how to mechanic , i can only suggest what i would do based on what i am being told. Back to your answer 'the pipe from motor' thats cracked, you mean tappet cover to inlet manifold? why not replace it & see what happens ?stew
