Without using the a/c does the inside fan blow air normally at all speeds?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
The fan only blows if you turn it up to max (for both heat and a/c)
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 4 months ago.

Thanks for the reply

There is a resistor for the blower fan that controls the fan speeds, it's located in the air ducting below the glove box, it has a phillips screw attaching it and has an electrical connector on it with a bunch of wires, replace this part to solve the problem.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
but my main problem is that it won't blow cold air. will that fix the cold air situation too?
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 4 months ago.

You said the fan only blows at high speed, no air comes out at any other speed, is this correct? So when it is running at high speed and the a/c switch is on it does not blow cold air? Is this also correct?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Correct, no cold air comes out even when its on max
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 4 months ago.

Thanks, ***** ***** to be two problems, the fan resistor and the a/c system, you mentioned earlier that you checked the pressure, do youhave pressure gauges to check both high and low side Freon pressures

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
i bought a recharge can that has a gauge. The gauge read over 100.
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 4 months ago.

Was this with the compressor running? Can you tell if the compressor even turns on? If the a/c indicator light blinks it means the compressor is not running.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
OH ok, I didn't even know about checking the compressor. I have heard that I may have to replace the relay and can bypass it with a paperclip to see if that's the problem. I won't be able to try that until tomorrow though.
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 4 months ago.

Ok, let me check back with you tomorrow about that relay.
