2012 Matrix. After jump starting dead battery.... will idle

Customer Question

2012 Matrix. After jump starting dead battery.... will idle but no acceleration.
JA: How old is the battery? Have you checked the battery gauge on the dash?
Customer: It was a company car with over 280K miles, but I believe the battery was fairly new. The battery does have power after I ran the car for a while after jump start.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself?
Customer: I see the problem may be as simple as replacing a fuse. If so, I could do it if I could locate the proper fuse.
JA: Is there anything else the Toyota Mechanic should be aware of about your Toyota?
Customer: It was running fine until this happened. No other problems.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Toyota Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, thanks for posting

Open the large fuse box near the battery, all fuses are marked on the inside on the cover, use this diagram to locate the fuse marked "ETCS" this is the electronic throttle control fuse, put a new fuse in, that should take care of it.

That fixed it. Check engine light still on, however. Thanks.

Just disconnect the battery negative cable for a minute it should go off.
