Hello...welcome and thank you for using Justanswer.

I need to ask a few things before my answer,sorry.

Is the AC system empty ?

Are you using a bottle with a single hose to top off the ac ?

Did you vacuum the system to get rid of possible moisture ?

let me know.

Thank you.

i vacumm the system then thru gauges i install the can in the low side and it doesent seem to go to the high side but if i run the compressor it seems to push air thru the system with the line opened it holds 1.7 lbs
Expert:  I. Silva replied 4 months ago.

Ok , so ,after you charge the system with 1.7 lbs ...does the compressor come ON and what are the readings on the gages ,low and high sides ?

Do you get any cold air inside the vehicle ?

Does the radiator fan come on with AC on ?

Let me know.

Thank you.

the compressor will not come on because of the pressure switches on the high side if I bleed over some Freon to the high side it will come on but the gauges remain static or stay the same theres a little cold air comeing out and the fan does not come on.the compressor works good.

when I put the Freon in just the low side registers any pressure nothing on the high side. it doesn't go thru.
