2008 prius 177K miles. Developing a whine in drive train. Sounds like it's from left front. Slight tickin when making a turn. Pitch varies with speed. Intensity varies from unnoticeable over road noise to definitely there.

When at highway speeds or when the noise is prevalent if you turn the wheel slightly left and right as if you are making lane changes quickly Does the intensity or sound of the noise change in accordance with the wheel turning?
