My name is ***** *****. And I'm trying to get the blower on

Customer Question

Customer: Hi. My name is ***** *****. And I'm trying to get the blower on my '10 Tacoma working
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: well, the power connection became loose a while ago and the fan would quit I would jiggle the wires.. and then it would work again a couple of weeks ago.. I jiggled.. there were some sparks.. I looked and one of the two wires was then completely out of the socket I got a new plug and wires from the dealer but when I splice them on the fan does not work. Is there a fuse on this circuit?
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $20) to post your type of question to Toyota Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?

Hello I will help you with your question,

If you saw sparks there is a good chance the blower fuse was blown.

Look at the 50 amp Heater fuse link in the underhood fuse block.

If that blew then replacing it with the wiring repaired should restore your blower operation.

If it is not blown do you have a voltmeter to check the circuit if I guide you?

the blower motor could stop if the 50 amp heater fuse under the hood is blown?
