Hi, my name is ***** ***** is caused by bad brushes in the starter motor, and is very common, it can be verified, if you have a test light or a voltmeter. do you have either?

No I don't. My mechanic neighbor seems to think it's the solonoid
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 11 months ago.

the solenoid seldom go bad, its the brushes in the armature that fails, this can be verified by checking for power at the small wire at the starter, when cranking, if it has power, but the starter does not turn over, then its abad starter, and is very common on these,Tim
