Are there any codes set in the computer? Has the check engine light been on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I haven't put it on a computer and no to the check engine light

When you say that the vehicle will not shift are you saying when you put in drive it will not go forward? Or does it start in a higher gear or does it miss gears? If you manually shift the lever from the low to the second to the drive position can you get it to shift manually? Does reverse work normally and hold or does it slip?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It will not move when I put it in gear. Forward or backwards. Linkage is good and is moving freely in the transmission

Are you 100% certain that you have the transmission fluid full? To clarify even in reverse you get no transmission engagement?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Fluid is good, maybe a little old but level is good. No engagement in any gear.

Unfortunately I don't have good news for you. Reverse and low manually shifted are strictly hydraulic over mechanic connection. There is nothing electronic involved. Something in the torque converter or in the transmission itself has failed thereis no line hydraulic pressure to apply to the reverse clutch back.

I'm looking at a rebuild?

Yes or a used one will be cheaper. Sorry I had to step out for a bit.
