Hello. Welcome to Just Answer. Please allow me to assist you. This sounds like one of two different problems. Either the relay is defective (highly possible given its age) or the relay is not getting a sufficient ground form the headlamp switch. In this car, the headlamp relay is powered all of the time. When you turn the headlamps on, the relay gets a ground circuit sent by the headlamp switch. If the headlamp switch is bad, the ground signal will be insufficient to properly power the coil of the relay. This causes the vibration. The recommendation on this request would be to replace the relay with a new one. If it does the same thing, you will need ot have the headlamp switch replaced.
