2011 Sequoia Platinum 5.7 Flex, 50K miles. Fan under glove

Customer Question

2011 Sequoia Platinum 5.7 Flex, 50K miles. Fan under glove box recently started making noise when turning on A/C. (Went away when I turned A/C off.). Removed the shroud under glove box and the fan, but didn't find any blockage/obstructions. Any ideas? Can you lubricate these things? Can they get out of balance?

Hello and welcome!

Does the noise only occur when the blower fan is on?

When you removed the blower fan was there any kind of debris on the fan blades? This can cause a vibration noise.

Normally they do not need to balanced, they are balanced when new.

I would try lubricating the motor shaft bushings, this this fan motor enclosed in a plastic housing?
