same as this person, our 2008 Camry Hybrid Maint REqd wont turn off, according to the oil change/tire place we go. They mentioned it needed an alignment, can that also trip the maint light?

Thank you for allowing me to help you with this concern today and am sorry to hear that this is happening. I will have to ask you a few questions so that I can get a better understanding as to what may be going on with your Camry.

The need for an alignment will not cause the maint. Req'd message to come on. The vehicles computer will count 5,000 miles and then turn the light on. That's all is whats needed to turn the light on.

Have you tried resetting it your self? Here is how to do it....

1. Set your odometer display to "Trip A."
2. Turn your car off.
3. Push the odometer button (from Step 1) again and hold it during Steps 4 and 5.
4. Turn your car on.
5. Wait a few seconds while 5 indicators in your display screen cycle on.
6. Your display will tell you that the maintenance warning reset is complete.
