Toyota Repair Problems? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello, thanks for posting
The problem could be the a/c magnetic clutch relay located in the fuse box under the hood.
Was it doing this before the a/c was charged, did you do this yourself?
Did you notice if the a/c compressor cycles frequently on/off?
jumped the compressor to engage it and air works great just wont stay running and wont engage from switch inside
Thanks for the reply
Does the compressor shut of even when jumped directly?
no just when I take the jumper off
Ok, try replacing the relay, it's marked MG/CL in the diagram, there may be another relay that you can switch with that has the same configuration, try the horn relay. By the way, is the air cold when using the jumper?
You're welcome, reply back and let me know how it ended up.
