Thanks for postingIs the noise there at idle?Is the noise only while driving/turning etc., Or can it be duplicated with only the engine running and the car not moving?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
noise on startup until warm on idle, then while driving at 40 plus mph, no hot temp no smoke, plenty oil, i think its valve or manifold related, car has 115,000 no harsh driving
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 1 year ago.
Thanks for replyingIs it an auto or manual transmission? With the noise at idle, does the noise increase with engine rpm or go away and come back at higher rpm while not driving the car?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
automatic, havent tried that, unsure
Expert:  Ted Ritter replied 1 year ago.
Ok, gradually try increasing the engine rpm from idle to about 2000 rpm, note if the noise increases with rpm and gets louder or goes away and comes back, it's also important to know if the noise is different or changes with engine temperature.
