This sounds like you have two issues at the same time.
The first issue is the selection of the air handling mode on the HVAC control. With the AC on, in a humid ambient environment, you must have the control set to the Recirculate setting, not the fresh setting/
Second, you might be in need of a few ounces of refrigerant added to the system. Don't go out and get a can of freon off of a parts store shelf anbd try to add it to the system. Take the car to a shop where they do AC work and have them put the exact amount needed into the system via measuring the pressures of the system with AC gauges. Too much freon can and will damage the compressor.
