Toyota Prius: I must have left a light on in my 2008 Prius

Customer Question

I must have left a light on in my 2008 Prius when I left for 6 days to work. I crawled back and popped the trunk, used my neighbor's truck to charge the 12V battery in the rear and let it run for 20 minutes attached with the jumper cables. All the dash lights are on, including the giant red triangle malfunction light, but no ready light comes on and the engine won't start. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks for posting
The Prius battery won't charge up in just 30 minutes, it's not like a regular car battery, did you try to start it with the truck still connected to the Prius battery?
