When you turn the key to the on position is the yellow check engine light illuminated? Do you have a code reader to see if there any codes set in the engine control computer?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes the check engine light is on. reader will be used today on it for the codes.
Expert:  Skyvisions replied 1 year ago.
Let me know what the code numbers are if any are set in the system.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the code that shows is PO356
Expert:  Skyvisions replied 1 year ago.
The P0356 code means that the igniter circuit or primary circuit in the number six cylinder ignition coil has failed. If it shorts out it will cause the entire system to shut down once it sees this malfunction. That would explain why it starts for a few seconds then quits. Disconnect the number six ignition coil which is the third one back on the passenger side. See if it will start and then just run with a cylinder misfire you will probably need to replace that ignition coil. Let me know how this goes.

will try thanks!

You are welcome.

unplugged the coil and nothing changed. that is the four wire plug right.
Expert:  Skyvisions replied 1 year ago.
Yes the 4 wire connector at the coil. This is the 3rd one from the front on the right/passenger bank. IF it is unplugged do you get any other codes if tying to start without it plugged in?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no other codes
Expert:  Skyvisions replied 1 year ago.
If you swap the number six coil with the number two coil which is the front coil then attempt to start it do you get the P0352 code or still only the 0356 and you are certain you have the right cylinder? If that does not work disconnect all the coils on the passenger side and see if it will start and run but very poorly on 4 cylinders?>
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
didn't start still same code.

When you had more than just that one cylinder number six ignition coil disconnected and tried to crank it over did you get the other codes set for those other cylinders that were disconnected?
