I have a 4A_GEU blue top engine from an AE 82 without air flow metering. I am trying to get a vauum line diagram for the throttle body and the auxillary air valve. My unit has two only small lines that connect at the top of the throttle body and one larger line at the base of the Auxillary air valve. To what do the connect please??Thanks
Thank you for choosing JustAnswer and allowing me to help you resolve your Toyota questions!
Do you have a Vehicle Identification Number?
Sorry, no chassis/build number
It is an ex Japan AE 82 FX GT engine number is XX XXXXXXX. It did have power steering and Aircon.
Separate from the throttle body and what appeared to be mounted to the bulkhead there appears to be a three way electrically operated valve unit with fittings for three smaller vacuum hoses. There is also one larger electrically operated valve unit with two larger hose connections (the diameter of the hose from the Auxillary air valve. This unit has a screw in/out adjuster on it so when the valve opens you can adjust the air flow.
Both these obviously fit into the configuration somehow & must be activated via the ECU.
I hope this helps a little.
Thanks Wayne.
Let me see if I can find some vacuum diagrams with this info.
Thanks, I await your help. It is appreciated
I am trying to narrow this down. Is this an automatic or manual trans? Fuel injected or Carburetor? 2 Door or 4 door?
5 speed manual transmission2 door with hatch back, F X GTFuel injected - without air flow meter.Hope this helps and sorry for delay but only just got to my email
Let me look into this and I will get back to you this evening.
