Thank you for using Just Answer for your needs.
Does the engine spin over when you turn the key?
I can't see your reply.
no, just makes faint clicking sound,
Ok. How do you know that the battery is good? Did you test it? If yes, how?
took it to auto zone saw the good condition on the tester
this not letting me reply
Ok thanks. Were the battery terminals clean and tight?>
yes, cleaned them both and made sure very tight
Good. Do you have a DVOM (multimeter)?
is there something else obvius I might be missing like fuse or relay
No. If you are hearing a click noise when you turn the key then everything is working. I was just wanting to confirm that a full 12 volts was getting to the starter.
The problem will either be in the battery, the connections from the battery to the starter or the starter itself.
I'm not so sure about ignition, key acting funny, dash lights go on slightly then go off when key is turn all the way
That sounds dead on like a battery issue. How did the autoparts store guy test the battery? Was is a static test? Or did they actually apply a load?
I believe it was static test, no load applied
That is not a very effective way to test the true worthiness of a battery.
Is there another way for the (or someone else) to test it?
I also attemped to jump it off with jumper cables, nothing
its 10:30 pm here, no
thanks anyway dude
Just based on what you are stating, it really sounds like a battery issue. Even jumping a battery with a bad cell wont work. I wish you luck but please head my advise. Genchi
