My 2000 Toyota Echo heater and ac blow a mildewy/musty smell. I have changed the filter, so it must be in the ducts. Is there an inexpensive fix? I was quoted over $1000, and the car is not worth that kind of money. help!

Toyota sells an a/c refresh kit for ~$20, I'm sure you can get it at a parts store too. One can is foam that you spray up the evaporator drain hose and it cleans it out. The other can you spray in the air inlet and cycle the vent modes and it goes through the ducts.
