My 2007 corolla has started beeping. It beeps 3 times every few minutes. It's not the same as the seat belt beep which is steady. Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you for posting! If you need more assistance please REPLY otherwise less then perfect feedback from you means I don't get paid.Elaborate please, is the beepr inside the car going off while driving....is the alarm chimer going off when it's parked? What exactly is it doing and when?
It beeps when the engine is on or off, while driving or sitting. It is like the seat belt beep but not steady. It is 3 beeps every few minutes. No dash warning lights.
Interior beeper or exterior?

Has the car had a keyless entry or any other electrical accessory added to it?
I installed a cruise control switch several months ago.
Ok, that wouldn't cause it, just wanted to see if there was anything aftermarket that may be interfering.Have you had a windshiled replaced within the last year and have you checked for any signs of water seepage into the under dash area that can effect the body control module on the driver side? Also does the seatbelt warning light work properly as you latch and unlatch it?
The windshield has not been replaced nor have there been any leaks. It hasn't rained here in a week. The seat belt light is working as is the seat belt beeper.
Does the dome lamp come on and off with all 4 doors as you open and close them?
Just ran out and checked. No, it is not working!
Ok, check the dome fuse. If it's powered but not responding to any doors then you've got a body control computer issue.
O.k., the dome light is now working as is the trunk light. The beeper is still beeping. Before I found the fuse to check it the dome light began working.
You have a short in there then that's causing this.....if the dome circuit is coming and going it sounds like a false "door open" signal is being read by the body module causing the warning chime. The body control module needs to b checked by the dealer, be sure you give them the notes of what we discussed here so they can cut out unneeded diagnostics and concentrate on the dome circuit to the BCM.
