Genchi Genbutsu :

Hi

Genchi Genbutsu :

Thank you for using Just Answer for your needs.

Customer :

Hi, thanks for helping

Genchi Genbutsu :

Take a pry bar and at the top 14mm bolt area, pry the alternator off it its pivot point. It always fits on very tight.

Customer :

The threaded side, or where the bolt goes in?

Genchi Genbutsu :

Where the bolt goes in.

Customer :

There appears to be a threaded sleeve that goes through the bracket and is holding it on, does that need to be pried out?

Customer :

The bolt went in from left to right, it appears that there is something going in from the right to the left

Genchi Genbutsu :

No. Pry between the alternator and the block/head. The new one will feel much looser when you install it.

Customer :

Thank you - he says it is coming off

Customer :

We got it off - yea!!! Just didn't want to break it

Customer :

Thanks for your help - worth the $18
