I have a 2010 tundra cm 5.7L, with approx 35k. I have noticed after engine heats up, mostly after long highway trips, there is a chattering noise coming from under the valve cover on passenger side. Its not the typical valve ticking. It does not do it when engine is cold. I have taken in under factory warrenty but they have only recommended changing to synthetic oil. I can still hear noise but not as noticeable. I will give it another week before taking back to dealership since still under warrenty. Any ideas?

Hello JACUSTOMER, this is typically a problem with the vehicles variable valve timing. You will either need a new solenoid or there top of the engine may need to come apart to fix it.
