have a 2000 4 runner. the blower motor stops at times. you can hit on the housing under the dash and it will come back on. any suggestions and where is the motor located?

Hi, it sounds like you have worn out brushes in the blower motor. The motor is located under the passenger side dash. I would not bother with trying to repair the motor I would simply replace it. The motor retails for $178 and takes about 1.5 - 2.0 hours to replace.
