hello i got 2001 toyota echo it has p1349b code and idle is to high
I can probably help you with this one - can you give me a few minutes to get some information?
This is a variable valve timing code
Possible areas of trouble include the oil control valve, the wiring, the engine controller, or the passage to the variable valve timing mechanism has plugged up. The last option is the most common, and in my opinion, happens fairly frequently because the manufacturers have stretched out the oil change intervals. I don't think this is do-it-yourself territory, unless you are a mechanic...

what about high idle
Hi there - the high idle could be caused by an air leak - broken vacuum line, leaking intake gaskets, or by the variable valve timing fault. If this has answered your questions, please "accept" Thanks. Canuck Tech
