I have a 2003 Toyota Echo, just recently it acted like it was running out of gas and died. I have to wait 10 to 15 minutes before it will start back up and run, it runs great for a little while then dies again. It could go 5 to 10 miles before acting up before, now maybe a mile. I changed the fuel pump and filter, the code reader said camshaft position sensor, so I changed that, but niether part helped. I had the codes cleared but the check engine light came on again and read the same thing. Where do I go from here? Thanks.

Hello jacustomer, if you are getting this code you may have a problem with the crank position sensor or it may have jumped valve timing.
If it jumped valve timing wouldn't it run badly all the time not just when it has an "episode" and wouldn't the crank position sensor come up on code? Is it possible that the parts store sold me a bad sensor? Thanks
If it jumped time then it would act up more of the time. It is possible that you got a bad sensor, but I would suspect a crank sensor issue as it does not typically show a code.
