ok.....first you said boot now tie rod, what exactly needs to be replaced on this car to clarify please?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I need to replace the inner tie rod on the drivers side but to get to it I have to remove the boot. I can't figure out how to get the dust cover off the end of the tie rod.
Expert:  Toyotapro replied 5 years ago.
ok, not a big deal on this one.
The boot just slides off, remove the OUTER tie rod end first. Remove the 2 clamps that hold the boot to the rack and the entire thing slides off the tie rod end. The clamps on the inner part of the rack boot are not usually cannot be reused so dont worry if you have to clip this clamp off.
