Thank you for choosing JustAnswer and allowing me to help you resolve your Toyota questions!

Did you make sure that
the glovebox lock is not turned to the valet position? Do you have any master
keys to check to see if the lock is turned the valet position? Will the latch
move at all when you pullout on the handle?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
The handle stuck in the pullout position. I didn't know there was a valet position.

Yes there is a valet
position. If you have the master key it does not have the tip ground off the
end of the key insert it into the lock cylinder and try to turn the lock
cylinder in either direction to see if you can get the handle to release. Let
me know how it goes. I have to step out for a few hours and I will check back
with you later this evening.

The only key I have is the one that fits into the engine. I do not think it is a master key. In fact I know it's not. Any other suggestions?

Sorry for the delay I have been out sick for the last two days. If there is a nearby Toyota dealer they can cut a new master key or at least a steel cheap blank key by using your vehicle identification number and you just need to show proof of ownership To try and use in the glovebox lock assembly to try and get it to jiggle open. If you cannot your options are very limited here without trying to damage the glovebox.
